Flowers: The Gulmohar tree is renowned for its brilliant, flame-colored flowers, which are typically red, orange, or yellow with yellow and white markings. The flowers are large and have five petals, with four of them being vivid red or orange and the fifth being smaller and yellow. These blooms are borne in large clusters and cover the tree, making it look like it is on fire during the flowering season.

Leaves: The leaves of the Gulmohar tree are feathery and compound, resembling fern-like foliage. They are bright green and provide light, dappled shade under the tree. The leaves are sensitive to changes in light and can fold up at night or during cloudy weather.

Growth Habit: Gulmohar is a fast-growing tree that can reach heights of up to 30–40 feet (9–12 meters) with a wide, umbrella-like canopy that can spread 40–50 feet (12–15 meters) wide. It has a broad, flat crown and an open, airy structure that creates excellent shade. It is often used as a shade tree in large gardens, parks, and avenues.
